Less than half of the population in need have access to mental health services in the world

Less than fifty% of people who suffer from some mental disorder in the world receive the medical care you need, according to data from the World Health Organization.
This is particularly worrisome when the pandemic keep causing fear and uncertainty, which has caused a rise in demand of these services.
In the Atlas about Health Mintl of the WHO expresses that only 51% of the 194 states members had a national mental health plan in 2020, consistent with the international standards in matters of human rights.
Meanwhile, just the 52% had programs prevention and promotion of mental health.

Changes?
Regarding the money going to mental health, the budgets have been stagnant for years with an average of just 2% of the total that is invested in general in health.
