International SIM cards can be used now to activate the Ehteraz

Doha: The Ministry of Public Health has announced that international SIM cards can be used by travellers to activate Ehteraz starting on October 6.

Travellers should download and activate the Ehteraz mobile application on their phones using a local or international SIM card, MoPH stated. The app must be downloaded and activated at the Qatar entry port before the passenger can enter Qatar. Their smartphones must support Android 6, newer versions, or IOS 13.5 and later to do this.

If a passenger does not have a SIM card or a smartphone before arriving, they can buy them at Hamad International Airport or the Abu Samra border crossing. The measure does not apply to diplomats, administrative cardholders, and VIP visitors receiving official state visits.
