QMD issues marine warning for the weekend

Doha: From Friday evening, high sea and strong wind is expected as Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) issued a warning about the upcoming weather. Sea heights will range from 4 to 7 ft and may even rise to 9 ft t times.

The wind will be northwesterly ranging between 12-22 KT gusting to 28 KT at some places. QMD urged people to take precautions in a statement on Twitter. On top of that, the weather will be hazy to misty for the first few hours of the weekend and then hot and dusty during the daytime.

The visibility will range between 4 and 9 kilometres and may decrease at some places on Friday. It is expected that the minimum temperature will be 28 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature will be 37 degrees Celsius during the weekend.
