The Municipal Council discusses an alternative to the old roving farms in the outer regions

The Central Municipal Council held its twenty-fifth meeting, this morning, Tuesday, in its sixth session, in the hall of His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, headed by His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Hamoud Shafi Al Shafi, Chairman of the Council.

The Central Municipal Council, headed by His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Hamoud Shafi Al Shafi, Chairman of the Council, discussed the recommendations and report of the Public Services and Utilities Committee, regarding (establishing an alternative to the old roving farms in the external areas), issued based on the proposal submitted by the member Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ward, representative of Department No. ( 22).

The Council also discussed the recommendations and report of the Public Services and Utilities Committee, regarding (elimination of oleander), issued based on the proposal submitted by member Ali bin Fahd Al-Shahwani, representative of Department No. (2).

The recommendations and reports were presented by Mr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Mohannadi, Chairman of the Public Services and Utilities Committee.

The council discussed a proposal regarding (creating an award for the best municipality in the country), based on the proposal submitted by member Muhammad bin Saleh Al-Khayarin, representative of District No. (16).

On the other hand, the agenda included hosting the officials in the Food Security Department, Dr. Masoud Jarallah Al Marri, Director of the Department, to brief the Council on the national strategy for food security, based on the proposal submitted by the Public Services and Utilities Committee.

All items included in the meeting were approved with the approval of the members.

The meeting was attended by the General Secretariat, Mr. Jaber Hamad Al-Lukhan, Secretary-General, Mr. Muhammad Abdul Hamid Nasrallah, Director of the Meetings and Members Affairs Department, and Mr. Muhammad Zabin Al-Zabin Al-Dosari, Director of the Public Relations and Communication Department.

Putting an alternative to the old roving farms in the outer areas

Based on the report of the Public Services and Utilities Committee, regarding (establishing an alternative to the old roving farms in the outer regions), issued based on the proposal submitted by the member Mohammed bin Abdullah Alwa, the response of the representative of Department No. 22, the committee is pleased to submit to His Excellency the President of the Central Municipal Council, The following recommendations:

The Ministry of Municipality, The Central Municipal Council hopes from the esteemed Ministry, to consider the following:

Study the allocation of land in the north as an alternative to the old roving farms, similar to what was done in the Nakhsh area.

Coordination between the Ministry of Municipality and the General Directorate of Passports at the Ministry of Interior to facilitate the recruitment of workers for the owners of the farms.

Establishment of a private estate complex for each of the external areas, as is the case in the Al-Otouriya, Al-Ghuwayriyah and Al-Gamiliya areas.
