Committee on Arab League Financial Affairs wraps up its 100th session

As part of the Arab League General Secretariat, the Permanent Administrative and Financial Affairs Committee ended its 100th regular meeting.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Saad Al Tamimi represented Qatar at the two-day meetings. Committee members discussed the budget’s major components for 2022 and decided to ratify it. In addition, they agreed to create a reserve for the general secretariat, and that member states would continue paying their contributions to the budget and the reserve.

As in prior years, the budget for 2022 was $60.9 million. During the Arab League’s next session in September, the committee will give a report on the outcomes of its meetings.
