In several tortillerías of the city of Iguala in the state of Guerrero in southern Mexico, narco-messages appeared in which the armed group identified as La Sierra, which is related to the paramilitary and drug trafficking gang known as Los Tlacos, which announced the decrease in the price of the tortilla.
“Facts, not words. Supporting the population, starting today, kg of tortillas from 26 to 23 pesos, kg of dough from 15 to 12. Zero quotas and extortion! Atte. La Sierra ”(sic), it was read in the drug messages that are part of the commitments they said they had about not extorting or abusing the population.

So far there is no reaction from the municipal, state or federal authorities regarding this fact, however, it has caused positive and negative reactions among citizens.
The price of the tortilla is very important in Mexico because it is one of the essential foods of Mexicans and one of the most consumed.
