With the arrival of Apple Pay in Mexico, new applications have appeared on both iPhones and Apple watch and paying for your public transport trips by just bringing your wrist closer is one of them. If you are a user of the Mexico City Metrobus, you can pay your ticket by bringing your Apple device to the card reader as of this September 30.
At the moment, payment with Apple Watch on the Metrobus only applies to lines 1, 2 and 3.
Starting today, the new payment and access methods will be available at the stations of Metrobús lines 1, 2 and 3!

To be able to pay with your Apple watch, you will first have to configure your Apple Pay account, which, as you well remember, is a digital wallet similar to Paypal.
This step is very simple. You will only have to register your preference card and grant Apple permission to use it by default in all your operations within iOS. Once configured, the information will update directly to your Apple Watch.
Pay and enter @MetrobusCDMX using your bank cards, CoDi, Smartwatch and cell phones on lines 1, 2 and 3.
It is the most modern payment and validation system in the country for public transport.

Using NFC technology, your Apple Watch will only have to approach the special terminals of lines 1,2 and 3 of the Metrobus to charge you a round trip for 12 pesos.
